Conversant Wireless Licensing
Conversant Wireless Licensing (formerly Core Wireless) holds one of the world’s largest patent portfolios related to mobile communications networks. With patents filed in 49 countries, this premier portfolio has more than 1,200 patents and applications that have been declared to be essential to the operation of 2G, 3G and emerging 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) mobile networks, and 800 wireless implementation patents that are used in a range of wireless systems and products. All 2,000 patents and applications were originally filed by Nokia, a renowned innovator and widely acknowledged key contributor to the development of mobile telephony.
We obtained the portfolio in 2011 through the acquisition of Core Wireless Licensing S.a.r.l. of Luxembourg. Today, this valuable patent portfolio is managed through Conversant Wireless Licensing Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Conversant based in Plano, Texas.
